Devika, before you start css/xhtml you need to have some understanding of divs and their structure, you need to understand the properties of CSS which is what.

The best and fastest way is to download some sample and easy HTMLed pages online and then view it and just try to play around by chaning the css properties, another way is to visit maxdesign.com.au, or cssgarden, zen garden.

This is the fastest and safest way to kick start your css/xhtml lesson.
