Away From Google's Eyes?
Some people don't like to be exposed to every Google's service (Analytics, Webmaster Tools, AdSense...) because they believe that less Google knows about you and your intentions the better. Do you think there is any justification to that?

This is really not a big concern for me. If you try to ignore Google you'll just end up hurting yourself.
And unlike facebook, Google doesn't suddenly make some of your data public. (That's why I quit facebook, but that's another topic.)

I didn't said that you should avoid competing on Google I just said that you should avoid using Google services for that. Using other services to get SEO results will keep your possibly sensitive data from exposure to Google. I asked if anybody is thinking about it?

That's sort of a paranoid outlook to have on it. I have no issues with any of Google's services and it "knowing" details.

FreeStylencer, I meant this to be a general message to all who try to ignore google. It wasn't aimed at you. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear.
To answer your question, I don't think about leaving Google as long as there's nothing better.

I don't see a real reason to be worried about Google because they don't have access to much data that could do harm. I don't use Google Analytics is because it can be slow (>10sec to load) at times.

I don't have any concern about it either. If there is a website or company I don't mind to give some (or many) details of my websites and blogs, it's Google.

Some people may want to block certain google services. I know a friend of mine who blocks adsense. So it's more of a personal choice but I have no issue with the way google functions.
