Flash Video Players - How?
Ok, I'm a complete novice when it comes to Flash to be honest; but a client has suggested that he was thinking about using YouTube to embed Flash video's of some of his works into the site and I suggested that it may be prudent to have his own instead of using YouTube.
I have never created one of these before, but I am interested in learning.
Does anyone have any tips, suggestions, or even better an easy to follow online guide that I can follow to create one.
He only has about ten videos' that he wants to be able to play on there, but I felt the current method he has been using (using Windows Media Player) was not great.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Ah thanks for the JW Player link. I would have liked to have been able to customize the controls and add a logo in there if possible. I will keep looking online though.

JW player is great, but you'll have the "JW player" showing when you right click the player in the browser. There's a lot of simple Flash video player solutions out there, and there's always the built in media components in Flash. Also, there's always the HTML 5 now too. For example: http://jilion.com/sublime/video.

Also if you want to learn AS3 you can just code your own and customize it for your clients. It can even be an added feature or service you provide.
Naturally that is if you wanted to get into actionscript programming. Just offering a suggestion.

I've used JW Player plenty of times, highly recommend it. As for coding your own, I guess if you wanted some extra functionality and wanted to heavily customize it, that would be your best bet but that would definitely increase the cost for your client as well as require much more effort on your part so I'd recommend sticking with an existing solution if you're not a strong coder.
