Client Calling Me Every Day For 2 Hours
I have a client (one of the least paying jobs that I have ever taken) who has been calling me for a minimum of a 2 hour meeting every day since I landed him about a week ago. This guy is driving me insane! and I am losing productivity from all of my other much higher paying projects. Any advice?

ps, today it has been 4 hours, and to put you in perspective, if I had billed him per hour for all of the meetings, the project would cost quadrupedal.

Politely say that you are going to have to start billing your regular hourly rate for calls longer than ten minutes. If he refuses, stop answering his calls. He can email you.

I think that ultimately there is a limit to the old adage "the customer is always right" you have to explain to him that this is not a productive way to work and that by taking up 2 hours of your time daily he is actually taking up 2 hours of his own time and pushing his delivery date back. If he still insists, then you must tell him that you are going to be charging per hour for phone calls. Once he knows it is going to cost more, this should slow him down. Always seems the cheap clients want the most...

Charge him for it, or refund his money and walk away.
This is a good lesson in not taking on "cheap" clients.
