I really like it , it's a nice clear design.
Although if you made the writing smaller, man it'd be nice

Honestly? It needs finishing I agree with the others on that. However, overall with what you are showing here, it's nice. Honestly again, I'd prefer this design than the existing tfl skin.
I dont know about anyone else, but I'd use tfl more if his design was in use here. It's glossy, smooth, Easily readable, some font sizes do need changing obviously, and a header does need to be done, but overall.. if you say this isnt better than the existing design on tfl then you need your head sorting.
I know im judging ahead slightly without the header etc, but what I can see from this is a really good tfl forum. Otherwise it'll just be the not very attractive design that we have now. Yeah some of you might not be feeling the design, most probably because you only like your own style. But come on, compare his design to the existing tfl design.
Also, for you Jamie, I skimmed through most of the posts, and you mentioned something about 'trying to stick with this trend', don't get me wrong but the what the hell is "the trend"? If your original style and way of designing is really good then stick with that, otherwise.. use this glossy style and add some 'umph' into it.
This is why i am harsh with people on here, majority of people on talkfreelance lack common sense and stick with what they think is best, and if they take one quick glance at something they say they're not feeling it, or its poorly made, they put you down. I always thought forum's were for 'constructive criticism', I havent yet seen any forum threads with 'why not do it this way', or 'why not try this here'... now i've put these words as simple as i can for you children, understand it and look around again or go wake your self up.
Remember, designers here aren't (the best bunch), so if you want (REAL advice) then look further. It never evolved around talkfreelance, deviantart and other places. Look deeper, and you might just find the best designers.
This is also why I am harsh, if you've noticed or not but, most of you think you are the best.
And most likely i'll get banned for being harsh. Cya.

Its nice, good quality design. Try finish it though with a good header which ties it all together.
