If I leave for one week there won't be any members left here and the search engines will write this place off as a spam container. I know he's going though some stuff right now but he hasn't even logged in almost three months. It's not my problem, not my responsibility, but I just can't bring myself to let TF sink once and for all.

Edit: Although I appear to be put back on staff? huh
Edit 2: Apparently he is busy being in a film? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5213213/?ref_=tt_cl_t1

I wonder if maybe TF has just run its course.
It seems to me that the trend is away from free-standing, community-managed discussion groups such as this, and toward forums established within a larger entity (Facebook, Google Groups, LinkedIn, certain listservs. Maybe even Twitter). A number of other forums I've belonged to have also died in the past few months.

Sadly I agree. Forums overall seem to be taking a downturn. Furthermore the market TF was going to go after may be a pointless pursuit. At this point I've lost all hope I had for the online freelancing market; people who pay decent money just hire a local freelancer.

I'm getting there. I sent Artashes an email out two days ago explaining his situation (from my point of view anyways) and won't leave for at least 5 more days in waiting for a reply. If I don't get a reply in five days I'm done, I'm demoting myself and deleting the cPanel info I used to re-promote myself last time. Sadly coming here will be a moot point almost immediately, we'll look like talkPHP looks currently.

Artashes told me why he's been so busy but that wasn't it. Maybe it's a factor.

That's it for me, I demoted myself and removed any access I have to reverse the decision.
It's been an honor.

I reckon he has simply removed himself from showing up in the active users list.
He regularly posts at hostingdiscussion.com.
Nothing we can do.

If he logged on as invisible I would have seen it.

I'm not surprised. People give this guy far too much credit because he paraded around with contests and ideas to give people a false sense of hope.
I don't doubt that he bought TFL so he could use this as a donkey for his hosting company.
PS - I make it a habit to come back every 6-12 months so I can confirm how Artashes was always a useless dou/che/bag.
Edit - Also, one of you dorks should just make a new forum so we can have huge circlejerks on it. WHT is boring and Reddit webdev subs are only fun for so long. Do it, thx.
