What should I do with code and designs that my clients don't want?
I have a few fully functioning and designed websites that some of my clients did not take and wanted something different. Would turning them into templates make a significant amount of money?

Depends on what it is. If it's something you think could do well in a market like Themeforest, go for it. Otherwise, what I would do is to try and find someone on ODesk who is looking doing a similar project. All you would really need to do is change around a few things.

If they are templates and such you can sell them on themeforest and make a hefty profit if they are good

ironically, minutes after posting that suggestion, i did that very thing. i needed some textures and vector shapes, so i borrowed some old assets from a design concept from 2008. it's very rare you'd just be able to repurpose the entire thing, but most of the ideas / elements can be.

I always hold onto my old code and designs. They are often reusable in new projects.
