Is TalkFreelance really this sad? Believing someone who registered THIS month over a member who has been here for two years?

I do not rip. I have sold full websites on SitePoint and TalkFreelance. Last week it came to my attention that a webtemplate that had been sold to me was ripped. I took it down immediately and it was not sold.

No it's not? You can find the threads in my history here on TalkFreelance and Sitepoint when I bought most of these designs from the designers. They've been sitting in a folder since.

A member who has been here since August? This is absolutely ridiculous.
I've sold numerous works here and on SitePoint; this is libel, and absolutely wrong. Show me what proof you have and I'll show you the fools of this forum.

the layouts are slightly different, indicating that your seller reproduced it.. maybe over inspiration?
I apologize for blaming you, I should have checked your buy/sell history. I wasn't trying to discredit you, I would just like to know what is going on. Now we all know that you aren't the source of the problem at hand, and if you could kindly give me the seller's msn handle or phone number, I could have it taken care of.
Here you go, you said Ten was by Amped? So who's lying?
|
Just to give you some logical input: why would anyone buy a layout for $120 and then sell it for $20. And if I were the one to have violated the copyright, why would I call you out on it. Seems a bit odd doesn't it?
i'll agree with you, that is not my psd, but again, the layouts are different.. mine was obviously his source of inspiration.. if one could call it that.

I have known Ornith for over two years now... He is not a design thief. He might be a bit green behind the ears when it comes to making sure he gets a unique product, but he is not a thief.
I say this is just a simple mistake where he has had the wool pulled over his eyes (not surprising in the current marketplace at Sitepoint and Digital Point).
Sad that the lynch mob attacked... rather than asked.

I am thoroughly sorry for this. I understand the situation and Ornith should not be in the situation he is (unwillingly) in. I also apologize for the slander on behalf of these other people, the people of clantemplates.com have always had a way of taking care of a matter for the other person.
Look Ornith, I will talk to your seller about this, I do not want you to be affected by this. You may go ahead and sell it, I don't have a problem with losing $20, it really isn't fair to you.
