What do YOU want to see happen?
After Artashes took over TFL he did a lot of hard work finding information from old members and doing his best to put the sticks and stones together to reform this once great community. He has done a lot behind the scenes and a lot of it is starting to come together. But I think there are a few things that we may have missed, or some new ideas some of you may have, that you'd like to share with us. Whether it's a new forum section, or a new feature you'd like to see added then tell us so we can look into it!
What do YOU want to see happen on Talkfreelance?, we want to make the forum the best it can be and we can only do it with the help of the members we have. I know some of you were unhappy with some decisions but for TFL to proceed we need you to be positive and optimistic, what's the point of being negative and unsatisfied with what's going on? It helps nobody. Give us a few ideas and hopefully we can make it happen.
Thanks and I hope we can think of some new great initiatives for TFL.

Do you see the green theme being permanent or just until talkfreelance gets a new "kickass" theme?

I personally loved the old green theme so I would like to see it permanent. I really dislike this them, there are also alot of bugs in the current theme also.
Also how about a points system set in action where users can accumulate points by posting, making new threads and maybe a tutorial section where you can also get points...then be able to use those points to purchase items such as software ebooks or whatever. This would get some action going on the boards I'm sure.

Just another idea, tf has become more of a general discussion forum and It would be nice to get away from that and put the most important forums up on the list instead of below the general discussion and marketplace.
Also who is doing the updates as vb has new updates, and any plans going to 4.0.x?

As much as I adored that green theme, I think we should leave it in the past with our memories of the old TF.
I'm eager to see a new refreshing design, something that oozes inspiration to fellow freelancers.
Onwards and upwards!
EDIT:

There are plans to upgrade version at the first opportunity. Furthermore keeping vBulletin upto date is another discussed priority. (:

One thing I have noticed is the lack of sharing expertise and information to inspire others. A tutorials section or something of that nature would be a great starting point to get everyone involved, not just in the marketplace.
As for the theme, I agree that the past green design is iconic as the "real" feel of Talkfreelance, but I would feel that it would be best if it were temporary until a new, stunning skin is created.

Regarding the old skin:
This seems to be something that keeps on popping up. Artashes and I talked about it when it was first brought up, and the decision was to not upgrade the old skin but put all our effort into the new skin, which we hope will completely blow all skins we have now out of the water.
However, I do realise that this new skin will be a while, and that during the wait users may want to use the green skin. Therefore i will work on the skin in my free time and release it as soon as possible. Unfortunately I am on holiday for just under two weeks, so it won't be at least until then that yo u will be able to use it.
Don't be surprised if the option select it goes away when the new skin comes, by the way. But that won't be a problem because it will be amazing!
