Bring Signatures Back
I think it would be cool if we started allowing image signatures again. Even if the size limits were made pretty small. In my opinion they make forums a lot more fun and it allows users to be creative and give their posts (or maybe account?) more personality. Sure we avatars, but signatures are better. The whole text only thing is getting pretty boring, I'm getting sick of looking at a bunch of colored text links.
I can't even remember why they were disabled, could someone refresh my memory?
Anyway, you guys should totally make this happen just like in the old days when tf was the place to be

I would disagree, text signatures are enough, you can inform about what you want. When it comes to multi-line and image signatures board looks like a christamas tree with signatures being often bigger than user's posts itself .

Text signatures are so boring though, the only thing ever placed in them is advertisements.
Well there would be strict size limitations (much like there is now with text)

exactly. i'm here to read what people are saying and not look at a page that reminds of a google image search.

Images in sigs would be a mistake, its messy, distracting and takes a lot longer to load.

KewL, thanks for the idea. However, I could never stand images in signature space, on any forum. Limitations or not, as VG mentioned, I find them extremely distracting from actual content of posts and messy. Not to mention that no matter how beautiful the image is (or can be), it breaks the design and look of the page. This is not at all a technical/server concern.

I'm on quite a few forums that allow image signatures, but I'm not real fond of them, either.

I think its a good idea to have image signatures, but I concede the point that they are very distracting and sometimes "messy"

Give users the option to hide signatures all together.

Go to the Edit Options page in your User CP to hide signatures.
