120,000 iPads sold on first day!
Are you kidding me? 120,000 iPads that nobody even touched yet were sold in one day!
"Apple has been able to generate over $75 million in revenue in one day on a product that 99.9% of purchasers haven't touched or for that matter, even seen in person," said Victor Castroll, an analyst with Valcent Financial Group. "And, we're still three weeks away. That is amazing."

Not terribly surprised, mac groupies dubbed it the second coming before all the specs were even out.

I really did have greater faith in humanity. Their can't seriously be that many intellectually impoverished simpletons around...

I'd imagine a sizeable percentage of initial sales would be from developers wanting to test their apps on the actual device?

Yea, that's probably the case. But why are you guys so opposed to iPads? I don't intent on purchasing one until it is much cheaper than it is now, if ever. But it doesn't sound like such a bad innovation.

Yea. Sadly they only make a batch every couple months, so it's uncertain when it will show up.

Does this mean that the 120,000 units are all pre-sold orders? They're all just on a waiting list?
