If you have another website, try applying. You only need to have 1 website accepted to add others to the same account later on.
If you don't, then my suggestion is sell advertising directly to potential clients.

Well that is what happened once to one of my sites. They never considered it standalone, but when I got a good resource up front, I just added another site to the account without any hiccups. That, of course, does not involve the sites that are against AdSense Terms of Service.

The other option would be to purchase a website and then try to apply. Not sure how adsense sees this but you would already have a good established website on your hands.

No hard feelings but Adbrite pays peanuts when compared to google. What I was making with adbrite in a month I was doing it in a day with adsense. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
