100 Pushups Challenge.
I've just given up smoking, albeit only a few days now, I figured it'd be good to get back into shape. Then I came across the 100 press up challenge, I've always had pretty strong arms, but could only ever get to 60 pressups in one go. So thought I should give this a go.
You can check out the challenge at http://hundredpushups.com/ but I'm using the programme in the Mens Health magazine (might only be in England). Simply because it's laid out better.
Anyone else fancy taking up the challenge? They reckon it's achieveable in 6 weeks! Mens Health are asking users to upload videos to see who can do it fastest and in the most unique location (without being stupid).
Might be fun if we got something like this going on here. No real prize, just bragging rights.
Edit: I just started it today, so far so good.

Pretty good challenge, but not for me. I already do more than triple that with martial arts and rock climbing.

What's the most you've done in one go? That's pretty impressive, what about pull ups? I can imagine a fair amount if you do rock climbing!

@csh, in 1 go ive managed 700, this was back when i was training every day. Not sure how many i could do now all in one go. And for those that see that figire and dont believe me... a 12 year old was doing 2000 a day, so 700 isnt majorly hard compared.
Pullups, depends on the type of grip. For bi-cep I can do about 30. For tri-cep i can do around 50. For 2 fingers (each hand), about 20, and 1 finger(each hand) about 10.

That's crazy , if you don't mind me asking how much do you weigh?
I tried this a while back but stopped shortly afterwards, will give it another go though sometime soon!

lol I weigh nearly 12 stone. Not checked in a while but last i recall i was 11 stone 6. Ive done martial arts all my life, and rock climbing for 2 and half years (6 days a week), you'll be surprised how much strength you gain from climbing.

For pull ups though, its not necessarily the amount you can do though, its how long you can hold it for.

I remember starting it about this time last year. I'm not quite sure what happened but I just started to forget about it and it trailed off in the end.
I'm defiantly going to give it another shot. I bet that at the moment I will struggle to do 10. Why does the app cost =[ Though it would be worth it, if it encouraged me to keep doing them.
Thanks csh for pointing this link out.
